John Lydon wants Justin Timberlake to play him in the forthcoming film version of his autobiography. The former Sex Pistol, known as Johnny Rotten in his punk heyday, said Timberlake had agreed to the request provided Lydon stays away from the film set. Lydon's book No Irish, No Blacks, No Dogs, is being made into a film by Penelope Spheeris, the Wayne's World director. Spheeris currently working on the Janis Joplin biopic The Gospel According to Janis, starring pop singer Pink.

where oh where has ms bunnie gone, oh where oh where has she gone?
over hill, over dale, and over everywhere in between.
remember all those ladies luncheons i have been going to? well they have all been leading up to this big event, a bi annual tag sale the women of my town hold to benefit a worthy cause. ostensibly that is why i am participating, to charitably ease the suffering of mankind, but we all know i do it to get first crack at the goods.
you have to understand, the town i live in, its in the one of the wealthiest counties in the country (not that i would personally know) so the things people donate as "junk" are things that the rest of us would be more than happy to get our hands on especially at a thrift store price. antique dealers come from all across the east coast because our sale is that infamous, it is so exclusive that even getting indoctrinated into the service is no easy feat. you must have 2 current members sponser you and write letters on your behalf and then maybe they might let you in. of course they dont tell you what they are letting you in for...
phenomenal amounts of work.
for the last two days i have been trapped in a car going from location to location with a truck and 2 strong guys to assess and remove furniture from overly cluttered houses. we start at 10 to nine and go untill 5 pm, one home per hour, filling the truck with dressers, couches, lamps, desks, and odds and ends, then unfilling it at the site and going out again. there is no time to eat, or pee, or think, just go go go...but i have to admit there is an unexpected reward.
its funny, every year i lived in this town i have gone to this sale and found more things i wanted than i could afford to buy and now that i have the chance to get at them first i havent seen anything i like.
good thing i discovered a few cheap thrills along the way. i get to take a peek into the private homes of the residents of my town. i see their homes, who lives in them, how they are decorated (or not in some cases), who is moving, who is staying, whos kids just left for college, and all sorts of various other personal information.
personal information is my top number one fetish.
so far i have found out about all the murders that have taken place in my town, and much of the unpublicized crime. like the prostitutes that used to hang out at the high school tennis courts servicing local residents, or the coke ring that used to be conducted out of the back of our local subway sandwhich shop...all top notch gpssip, i am very pleased.
what all of this traveling all over town has really brought home to me is how happy i am, how much i love living here, how beautiful it is. everyday i drive around my town and marvel at the scenery, the wild life, the privacy...all the things i thought i wanted when i lived in the city...excitement, drama, drugs, sex, whatever...mean nothing compared to what i get living here. i finally understand what it means to be part of a community, and to be comfortable with that, not fight or resent it.
maybe i finally understand what it is like to be an adult.
