the sale is finally over, and this time i was so busy dividing myself between everything i have to do that i didnt even get to do much shopping. that kind of sucks because the whole point of doing all this work is to get first crack at the best goods. i did manage to walk away with joe pantolianos bar stools, silk bricade curtains, and a hideous ceramic cat. on the up side i didnt spend as much as i usually do but i am still going to take the week off from the hospital for the next one, because doing it half-assed isnt worth it.
mister and i are going to go see the doves in nyc next week and plan to make an evening of it. i need to learn to take a day off once in awhile an this is a great reason to start. i love the doves, tickets weren't that expensive, and it is a realativly small venue (my favorite!), its enought to tempt me to leave the house.
today i learned that it is much better having two slaves than just one. my faithfull afternoon assistant brought over one of his buddies who needs to pick up some extra cash for the giant gas guzzling car he drives. i put the two of them to work out in the 2 acres of overgrowth we call a yard and was excited by how much they got accomplished. now i can spend my mornings dreaming up things i'd like to see happen and not have to torture myself over how it is going to get done.
i am feeling more myself these days, and aside from some time management issues i still have to work out i would say things are looking up.
it's about fucking time.
